When PT Organics ran quality control inspections on finished batches made with that shipment, inspectors discovered a soft strand of food-grade plastic sticking to the interior wall of some pouches.
While food-grade plastic isn't toxic, any physical debris in a product meant for babies and young children presents a potential choking risk or oral discomfort.

If your pouch has a different flavor, a different best-before date, or was purchased at a retailer outside of Kroger, Meijer, or Target, it is not part of this recall and remains safe to eat.
